The WRCS combined Medicine/Pediatrics residency program blends extensive training of two medical disciplines, Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, to produce a highly skilled specialist able to treat and care for the neonate to the geriatric patient.

Established and designed by the Department of Internal Medicine at Northside Medical Center and the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at Tod Children’s Hospital, our concentrated four-year program offers you quality training in each specialty. While on service, our residents adhere to that particular specialty’s schedules, conferences, lectures, and most importantly, function at the graduate level equivalent to that of their peers in each separate discipline.

Our community hospital boasts an ideal training site in which our residents excel by receiving first-hand contact with our diverse patient population and support from our dedicated Medicine/Pediatrics faculty.

Upon completion of the program, our graduates with both Internal Medicine and Pediatric board certifications are able to obtain primary care positions or can choose to pursue educational growth in a subspecialty fellowship.
